The competition commissioned by the “Belle Saison” Foundation was about the design of an house for elderly people. The old building, expected for demolition, was built on a slope. The call was requiring two care units (intended for psychiatric care) and two living units for a total number of 64 rooms.
The project “La Cour Verte” is composed by two linear blocks for the rooms, following the hills’ line, joined by two buildings for connection, used for secondary services. The result is a South-facing building with a large indoor courtyard garden, a joyful place for elderly guests.
